2015 USSA 

Our Billabong Madibaz surfing team have been crowned the 2015 USSA surfing champions!

Congratulations to the overall victory where we won the men's section and our surfing ladies came 2nd place altogether! Also, congratulations to Roxy giles who came in 4th place overall in the ladies category.

 

2015 BILLABONG SA INTERCLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS

The Billabong Madibaz Surfing team participated in the SA Interclub Champs held at Kitchen Windows in Jeffreys Bay on 14 & 15 February 2015. 

Despite the challenging and windy conditions, the Madibaz fought their way through the first and second round of heats but unfortunately fell short in the third round and lost out to a semi final position. 

16 clubs entered the Championship with it being a Tag team evet. 

The competition was fierce with the likes of Shawn Payne and Faye Zoetmulder keeping the flag high for their respective clubs. The Billabong Madibaz team finished in a well respected 7th position.

The Madibaz showed great team spirit and all the surfers had good waves during the heats they competed in. The team was very unlucky to get knocked out in the quarter finals by the eventual winners, Seal Point Surf Club. Madibaz scored 139.1 and Seals 140.6.
